Tom graduated from St. Louis Christian College with a BA in Christian Ministry. After graduation he worked in many fields of endeavor: preaching minister, youth ministry, a short stint in law enforcement; nursing home chaplain, Social Service Director and Administrator; and commercial property manager.

In 1992 he married Trish Russell and they have resided in Mt. Vernon ever since. They were blessed with a daughter, Katlyn in 1995 and a son Ezekiel in 1998. They became a part of Christian Fellowship in 2008 where they were welcomed and loved.

Over the years they have served as nursery workers, youth leaders, administrative positions and home group leaders within local church bodies. Both Tom and Trish have a heart for missions. Tom has traveled to Kenya and Uganda. Trish and their daughter have been both to Kenya and Mexico.

Tom was ordained as Lead Elder/Pastor of Christian Fellowship during the summer of 2014.
